Partner Seat Terms
These terms cover partner seats: a year of Plug Pro that an approved partner buys for one of their students. They are an addendum to the Affiliate Program Terms and apply in addition to Plug Pro’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Buying a seat means you agree to everything below.
1. What a seat is
A seat is one year of Plug Pro for one student. Each seat comes with its own single-use claim link: the student opens it, signs in or creates a Plug account, and claims the seat. The year starts when the student claims it, not when you buy it, and a link nobody has claimed yet doesn’t expire.
2. Who can buy seats
Seats are for approved partners: an active affiliate that Plug has switched seats on for. The seat price is agreed with you directly and shown to you when you buy — it isn’t published anywhere.
3. One student per seat
- Each seat is for one student, and each link works once.
- No resale. You may not sell, auction or trade seats or their links, or pass a link to anyone other than a student in your own program.
- You can’t claim your own seat — not with your own Plug account and not with your own email address.
- Someone who already pays for Plug Pro, or already has it free, can’t claim a seat. The seat stays unclaimed, so you can give its link to another student.
4. Claimed seats are final
Once a student claims a seat, the year is theirs: a claimed seat is never revoked, transferred or refunded — including if you later leave the affiliate program or your affiliate account is paused or ended.
5. Unclaimed seats: voids and refunds
Voids and refunds apply to unclaimed seats only. To give back a seat nobody has claimed, email hello@getplugpro.com: we void its link, so it stops working for good, and refund that seat to the card you paid with. Refunds are handled by hand, not automatically.
6. Reserved seats
If a student opens a link while signed in but hasn’t finished creating their Plug account, the seat is held for them while they finish. If they haven’t finished after 7 days, the hold is released and the seat goes back to unclaimed, with the same link.
7. No commission on seats
A seat purchase never earns an affiliate commission — not for you, and not for anyone who referred you to Plug. A student who joins through one of your seats never earns you commission on anything they pay Plug later, either: the seat price is the whole deal. That student still counts as your referral on your affiliate dashboard — an existing Plug account included, unless another affiliate already referred it. The Affiliate Program Terms say the same from the other side.
8. What you see about each seat
For each seat you bought, you see:
- whether it has been claimed, when, and when its year ends
- the label you gave it
- the student’s Plug handle
- on your affiliate dashboard, whether the student is on Plug Pro
You never see their brand contacts, pitches or deals. Before they claim, the claim page tells students that you’ll see they claimed, their Plug handle and whether they’re on Plug Pro — and never their contacts, pitches or deals.
9. When the year ends
Plug reminds the student 30 days and 7 days before their year ends, and again when it does. To keep Plug Pro after that, the student picks a plan at the price Plug offers them at the time; otherwise their account moves to the free tier. You are never charged anything more for a seat.
10. If your affiliate account is paused or ends
While your affiliate account is paused, you can’t buy seats and your unclaimed links can’t be claimed; both work again if it’s resumed. If your affiliate account is terminated, Plug may void your unclaimed seats, and any refund for them is handled by hand, as in section 5. Seats your students already claimed stay theirs (section 4).
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version below is the one in force, and the next time you buy seats after a change you’ll be asked to accept the current version.
