The hard part of pricing is not the number. It is having one ready before a brand asks, so you are not doing arithmetic in a reply.
The bands
For one short-form video, organic use, no extras:
| Where you are | Per video |
|---|---|
| Starting out | $25 to $75 |
| A few deals delivered | $75 to $150 |
| A real track record | $150 to $300 |
Starting out, $50 is a sensible first quote once you have three or four clean examples to show. Take the low end only for a brand you would have worked with anyway.
Your follower count is not in that table on purpose. The brand is running the video itself, so it is buying production, not reach. Neither is the brand's size — a big brand with a tight brief is often less work than a small one with no brief at all. Price the deliverable, never the logo.
What costs extra
Your rate buys the brand the right to post it organically. Everything past that is a new line:
- Running it as a paid ad. Roughly half your base again for a six-month term. This is the single most common place creators leave money behind.
- A finished edit — captioned, sound-designed, ready to post — rather than raw-style footage.
- A rush turnaround, which costs you other work.
- The raw files, because they are buying the ability to recut it forever.
- Sitting out competitors for a window, because that shrinks what you can take next.
Each one is defensible, because each one is a real cost or a real right you are handing over. Send them as a short list, not a paragraph. A brand that sees the structure trusts the number and negotiates the scope instead of the rate.
Set a starting rate on your page so the next brand that asks gets an answer.
